MMMay

Spend the weekend raving @ #EDCLV2024? Don’t fret! I’ve got the scoop on all the MMM & Co. releases you may have missed.

NOVELLIFANS!!!! SO. MUCH. HAS. HAPPENED!!!!!

In fact, so much has happened in the last week that I’ve decided to move the concert recaps — that’s right, recaps PLURAL — to next week’s post, since, as of right now, it looks like it’s going to be a quieter week re: releases.

This week, however, that’s def. not the case. So let’s get on with our look at all the fantastic new tracks and fresh mixes that dropped last Friday, and see if your favourite spins made the list.

✅✅✅

Two To Watch

To kick things off, we’ve got not one, but two(!!!) brand new tracks from Muse Music Management’s own Susie Ledge and classically trained musician, and trance LEGEND, Darren Tate.

Featured on Darren’s latest full-length album ‘Metamorphosis’, ‘Watching’ is a progressive house MOOD that would not be out of place in the latest domestic thriller box office smash, while Kaleidoscope is a pulsing, melodic dreamscape that beautifully highlights the sublime side of Susie’s dynamic vocal skillset.

Coming to us on Above & Beyond‘s label, Anjunabeats, who wrote a fascinating mini-profile on their Instagram of Darren’s epic career so far, ‘Watching’ & ‘Kaleidoscope’ will also be available on the 2LP, vinyl version of ‘Metamorphosis’, estimated for release on June 21, 2024.

So head on over to your favourite platform and grab the digital releases now, to see if this might be one you want to add to your physical collection!

Packing Punches

Next up we’ve got ‘We Are Siskin’ remix number four of 2024, this one coming to us from Misja Helsloot and Michael de Kooker, the duo also known as Hel:sløwed.

Dance legends in their own right, with over 35(!!!) combined years in the scene, they’ve hit Siskin’s atmospheric ‘Fly Away’ with their “#lowtempohighenergy credo” (and their Instagram post about accepting the gig is a heart-warmer if I’ve ever read one!)

Making its world debut on Episode 197 of Suzanne’s Voyager Radio, which also dropped last week (), this melodic house & techno refresh definitely has the “extra punch” Hel:sløwed promised.

The track is out now from Black Hole Recordings wherever you like to listen, so go give it a spin and let me know what you think!

OTP Theme Of Your Dreams

Rounding out our trio of MMM tracks from last week, May 17 saw the first Muse Music Euphoria release of 2024 — the LTN remix of Christina’s 2022 collab with Klassy Project â€˜You’re All I Want’.

Co-written with Joseph Lawrence, the original release was featured on Andrew Rayel’s Find Your Harmony Radioshow, Bobina’s Russia Goes Clubbing and SMR LVE’s Summer Love Sessions. The acoustic version also has one of the loveliest music videos* I’ve ever seen, and has no doubt been spinning at weddings around the world since its debut.

Now for 2024, LTN has given this “song for the one you love” a dreamy, progressive house twist that will give you the perfect reason to ask your dearest to dance.

*Watch closely and you might spy a familiar face or two.

Take The World By Storm

Keeping with the theme of songs “for the one you love”, our next release is a fresh track from Sea to Sky vocalist and Linney’s ‘Gravity’ co-writer, Brittany Ebgert and “long time trance lover” and melodic, deep, and progressive house DJ Mearzie.

Produced by Jarod Glawe and coming to us from Blue Dot Music, ‘The World Is Ours’ was named the Electrofans SELECTION OF THE WEEK last week, joining the likes of Estiva and Crystal Skies & Haliene.

With cred like that, how can you not give it a spin? Enjoy!

Do You Hear The Echoes?

Switching gears, our next fresh drop is a track that tackles those relationships that may not have lasted as long as we hoped.

A collab between Linney, Las Vegas’ Zouk Nightclub resident DJ, Hektor Mass and “The Sushi King” himself, Greek DJ ILVS, â€˜Echoes’ is an electropop banger that will help you dance those complex emotions right up out of your system. #MusicHelpsMeProcess

Coming to us from W!ZARD Talent & co-written with Casey Cook, Linney recently shared the story behind the song on Instagram and TikTok, so if you’re not following her in at least one of those places, head on over and change that so you don’t miss any future sneak peaks and inside insights. She’s @linney in both places.

And while you’re there, be sure to click through her linktree to give ‘Echoes’ a[nother] spin.

Mixception

Friday also saw the release of a remix of ‘Salsa House’, the Cash Only collab with DJ Fen that took the Traxsource Garage charts by storm, and at the time of writing is still sitting at #3 after spending nearly 10 days at #1!!!

This refresh of a refresh, ‘Salsa House’ (Room 17 Pikes Remix) is Cash & Fen’s own remix of their recent single, which they dreamt up “while partying in Ibiza at the legendary Pikes Hotel, in Room 17.”

Having already seen play on Monki’s recent episode of Defected Radio Show as well as on The Brutal and the Beautiful, a radio show hosted by local to me(!!!), Calgary independent radio station, CJSW, ‘Salsa House’ (Room 17 Pikes Remix) is so full of “Balearic house vibes” it’ll take you straight to Ibiza without even having to book a flight.

So If you’re looking for a fresh mix that’s just as infectious as the first, pop over to your favourite platform and grab a copy of ‘Salsa House’ (Room 17 Pikes Remix) now.

Bonkers But Brilliant

& finally, as I mentioned above, the Hel:sløwed remix of Siskin’s ‘Fly Away’ received its world exclusive premiere on the most recent episode of Suzanne Chesterton’s Voyager Radio, which dropped on May 14, 2024.

Episode 197 of Voyager, which was also Suzanne’s first show back in the studio () following her recent surgery, featured tracks from Above & Beyond with Zoe Johnston, Ruben de Ronde & That Girl AND a mindblowing release called ‘Mozart’s Final Rave (Lacrimosa)’ by Oliver Heldens, Charles B & Dana Vicci.

It’s a magnificent mix, so be sure to head on over, give it a spin and celebrate Suzanne’s indomitable devotion to the show and its listeners!

Perhaps, the most thrilling moment of the episode for me tho was the intro, which included a most unexpected shout-out from Suzanne to yours truly for the write-ups about Voyager and Siskin that I’ve been doing here on the blog.

When I started this site, I honestly never imagined that I would even make contact with any of the artists I have been inspired to write about, let alone be acknowledged by them so graciously. To have connected with so many of them, Suzanne included, in this short span of time has been such an amazing gift.

So, thank you again, Suzanne, for the shout-out, and for all the encouragement and camaraderie you’ve offered me over these past couple of months.

And to all the other MMM & Co. artists and team members who have sent me kind messages and welcomed me into your DMs, you are such good people. I am deeply thankful for the work you do, but even more so for your gracious and generous hearts.

& I’m thankful for your generous hearts too, NovelliFans!

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read these posts, engage with me on social and share your love of all this great music — and the people who make it — with me. I’m thrilled to be on this journey with you!

Thank you, with all my heart, for stopping by!
