Love For The Latest

All three of the featured releases from Friday past are getting rave reviews from around the world (and the web). Let’s take a look at some of the highlights.

First off, the BARELO remix of ‘Lifeline’, Susie’s collab with Modera & Damaui was initially spotted at #74 on the Beatport Top 100 Breaks / Breakbeat / UK Bass chart, and at the time of writing is all the way up at #40.

The mix was also featured by Farius on episode 748 of Enhanced Sessions radio show AND it was selected as Track 4 on Colorize’s 390(!!!) song Deep Melodic & Progressive House playlist on Spotify, alongside its contemporaries from the From Walks of Life (Remixes) album.

Next up, the Extended Mix of ‘Lonely In Love’, Christina’s achingly beautiful collab with Armage also entered the Beatport Hype Top 100 Trance (Main Floor) chart at #73, and at the time of writing has leapt all the way up to #43.

According to Armage’s Instagram, the track has also been seeing play on a number of radio stations, including GTF Radio, Prizm Radio (DiFM) and Radio City Dance.

In the same post, Armage also reported that ‘LIL’ is being featured on the front page of Juno Download’s Trance & Uplifting / Progressive Trance pages, alongside Christina’s ‘Black Hole’ collaborator Craig Connelly.

Rounding out last week’s featured trio, Reigns‘ fire collab with Cash Only and Dee Adam, ‘Baby Believe’, is also taking the radio by storm.

Following its debut spin by DJ Roesh on BBC Introducing Manchester, the track has since seen additional play from DJ S.K.T. on KISS FM UK & Sam Divine’s Defected Radio Show.

Divine even named it Best Track In The Galaxy(!!!) on the April 12 airing of her KISS FM UK show — KISS NIGHTS.

As an added bonus, Unforgivable also reached a milestone over the last week, with videos featuring the song passing 10,000 total views on YouTube!!! 

Holding The Line

In addition to the buzz around their most recent releases, last week’s MMM drops keep pulling out the stops as well.

At the time of writing, Christina’s collab with ALOKIN & EpicFail, ‘The Hardest Thing’, is still in the Top 20 of the Beatport 100 Trance (Main Floor) chart, after spending more than a week in the Top 3. Seems to me like a spin on ASOT is imminent.

Sue & Paul’s ‘Love Is Enough’ mixes also continue to climb the same chart, with the Shine Mix moving up from #49 to #20, and the Venture X Mix briefly leaping up almost 30 spots, from #75 to #46.

According to Paul’s Instagram, the original mix has also been included on Apple Music’s Neu in: Dance Playlist, and the track (and its adorable music video) were also featured in a writeup by DJMag’s Marissa Cetin.

With such a sparkling gem on their hands, it also came as no surprise that Paul & Sue saw play on A State of Trance last week.

The Love Is Enough (Shine Mix) was featured on A State of Trance Episode 1168, which you can check out below if you missed it, or just want to hear it again.

And Now We Wait

Topping off this week’s milestones mega-post, voting for the A State of Trance Top 1000 closed on April 14, so now it’s just a matter of time before we discover which of the 223(!!!) nominated Muse Music Management tracks will make list.

Previous years have seen entries in the Top 50 from all four MMM artists, including Siskin & Craig Connelly’s ‘All For Love’ (Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix) in 2020, Susie & Omar Sherif’s ‘Here With Me’ in 2022 and Sue’s collab with Paul van Dyk & Marc van Linden, ‘Beautiful Life’, which was also the SHINE Ibiza Anthem for 2023.

According to my research, there also hasn’t been a year since the debut of the Top 50, that Christina hasn’t had at least one song on the list, the most recent being the Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix of the aforementioned ‘Black Hole’, her classic collab with Craig Connelly, whose feature at #18(!!) on the 2023 ASOT Top 50 also happened to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the song’s original release.

The “very special live ‘Top 50’ episode” of A State of Trance is scheduled for April 25 from 6pm to 10pm CET.

In the meantime, I may have put together a playlist of all the Muse Music Management nominated songs I could find on Spotify … all 203(!!!) of them.

So if you’re looking for a mix to fill your days between now and April 25, this 14-hour set of tremendous trance tracks can definitely get you started.
