A Trio of Tremendous Duos

2 Queens + 3 Kings = A Full House New Music Friday, Fam! 👑 Let’s celebrate!

Last week it was a Dreamy Duo of Trios, and for this week’s New Music Friday a Tremendous Trio of Duos has officially dropped.

Gotta be honest, NovelliFans, ish like that fills my little pattern-loving heart with pure, unbridled delight! So let’s get right to it!

😁😁😁

When The Stars Align

While I am fully aware of the fact that Christina does NOT know today is my 15th wedding anniversary — today is my 15th wedding anniversary AND Christina Novelli dropped a new track!!!

Xtina & I both adore serendipity.

Her second collab with DJ / Producer (and Twitch Streamer) Joel Hirsch, who she released ‘Heart of Stone’ with back in 2017, ‘Not Forgotten’ was co-written by Christina, HALIENE and Matthew Steeper, and is coming to us today on AVA Recordings, a division of Muse Music Management’s frequent partner in Magik, Black Hole Recordings.

And just like the wizard(s) who design(s) those stunning Siskin album covers, whoever it is that wrote the description for this track, currently up on the Beatport website, did an outstanding job, so I’m just gonna leave it right here for you to enjoy. #CreditWhereCreditIsDue

“Not Forgotten, the electrifying collaboration between Joel Hirsch and the esteemed vocalist Christina Novelli, emerges as a future anthem, captivating listeners with its colossal melodies and pulsating synthesizers. Christina’s unmistakable voice breathes life into the track, soaring effortlessly over the dynamic production, leaving an indelible mark on the electronic music landscape. With its infectious energy and undeniable charisma, Not Forgotten promises to be a cherished addition to any playlist.”

Love Is In The Air

The second in our trio of featured tracks this week is another highly-anticipated collab between Dvine Sounds label-head and Queen of the Dvine Tribe, DJ Sam Divine and the man with a voice made of fire, Josh Barry.

Out today on Defected Records, ‘Saved By The Record’ was debuted on Sam’s April 12th episode of the Defected Radio Show, and has also seen play on Ferreck Dawn’s To The Break Of Dawn Radio & David Penn’s Urbana Radio Show, along with another recent Dvine Sounds release from last week, George Mensah & Y Tribe’s ‘Enough Is Enough’.

Earlier this month, Sam also posted some of the song’s lyrics on Instagram, and they absolutely read like a love letter to the healing power of music.

Welcome to the good life

Where only love can set you free

Where the dj saved my life

Oh mercy mercy me

-Sam Divine & Josh Barry, ‘Saved By The Record’

Pop over to Sam’s Instagram if you’re eager to read the rest, and while you’re there be sure to click through to Buy / Stream ‘Saved By The Record’ on your favourite platform now!

I’ve also dropped a direct link below for you, if you just can’t wait.

Danish Delights

Our final in the trio of duos this week is actually a pair of solo tracks by one of Muse Music Monday’s featured mix-masters, Maratone.

With three releases already under his belt this year, including ‘Sky Falls Down’, his stratospheric collab with E.V Palmer and his mesmerizing remix of Siskin’s ‘Always You’, this will also be Maratone’s second solo release of 2024.

And from the snippets & stories he’s been sharing of it on his Instagram, I for one am more than ready to enter this ambient “world of pure relaxation” — care to join me?

Follow the links to add this dreamy duo, available on Abora Chillout, to your self-care soundtrack rn.

And if you’re not already following Maratone on Instagram, pop on over and make sure you’re not missing those sneak peeks.

That’s a wrap for this Friday, Fam!

I hope at least one of these releases finds its way into your library, and if there’s anything else you think I need to add to mine, be sure to leave a link to it in the comments below.

Thanks for stopping by!

p.s. As an added bonus, here’s a link to today’s release from the man, the myth, the legend, Carl Cox, who also happens to be one of Mr. Bea’s favourites.
